39Proper maths

Fractions, roots, matrices, integrals — written in LaTeX, the notation textbooks are typeset in, and placed on the board as clean type rather than something you hand-lettered with a mouse.

The basicsx^2 raises, x_1 lowers, \frac{a}{b} makes a fraction, \sqrt{x} a root. Anything starting with a backslash is a command; braces group what it applies to.
Symbols\pm \times \div \leq \geq \neq \approx \infty \pi \theta \Delta \rightarrow — and the highlighting colours commands, so a misspelt one stands out before you render it.
LookInk colour, point size, and a display toggle for the larger centred style. It is placed as text-sized artwork, not stretched to fill the board.
Why it always looks rightEvery letter is drawn as a shape rather than typed in a font, so an equation looks identical on the projector, on a tablet, in a print-out and in a saved file — with no font to install and nothing to download.
