One board is rarely a whole lesson. Slate holds a whole deck — think slides, not layers — each board with its own surface, frame and furniture, all travelling together in a single file. Add as many as the lesson needs, and print the lot in one go from Export.
Find itThe board strip, beside the Slate mark at the top.
Find itThe Boards button in the top bar, beside Board & frame. A small number on it tells you how many boards the deck holds.
Use itTap it to drop down the list. Tap any board to open it, ↑ ↓ to reorder, × to delete, and Add a board at the foot of the list. The panel stays open while you rearrange, so you can sort a deck in one go.
How manyAs many as you like — there's no cap. The list scrolls, so a long deck is as easy to manage as a short one.
Name themThe ✎ button next to a board lets you call it something useful — Starter, Worked example, Homework. The name is saved in the .slate file and shows in the boards list and the print range picker. It is for you: it never appears on a printed page.
The whole deck travelsEvery board goes into the one .slate file, and the player can run the deck end to end. You can also print the lot in one pass — see Export an image.
